MINIMIZATION OF CAKING AND FLOW RATE INCREASE OF FIRE EXTINGUISHING POWDERS

Abstract

The article considers topical issues of ensuring fire safety of industrial facilities of the petrochemical industry. The most effective is the extinguishing of flammable liquids fires by powders. One of the new proposals in composition of fire-extinguishing powders is an introduction to the composition the basic salt of aluminum potassium alum, which reduces the caking and increasing the flow rate of the powder.

Thermal analysis and kinetic indicators of the behavior of aluminum-potassium alum allow us to speak about the reliability of fire safety equipment and apparatus for chemical and oil refineries.
